Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu Hawaii.
He has a B.A. from Columbia University and graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude from Harvard in 1991, married with two children, and is the 44th and current President of the United States, the first African American to hold the office (President and Commander in Chief). The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.
