Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu Hawaii.
He has a B.A. from Columbia University and graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude from Harvard in 1991, married with two children, and is the 44th and current President of the United States, the first African American to hold the office (President and Commander in Chief). The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.
The Inauguration Speech of President Barack Obama was attended by over a million people on a chilly day in Washington D.C. and millions of people saw the Inauguration Speech on TV and through the Internet, from Bagdad Iraq, Afghanistan, through out villages of Kenya, Mexico City, and onto the side buildings of Time Square in New York, people watched (many tearfully), and listened attentively to the first African American President of the United States give his historic inauguration speech, on a monumental day that many attending and watching through out the world, thought would never happen in there life time.
